Join us for Magic: The Gathering® | The Hobbit Draft Night, where every player starts on equal footing, every draft tells a different story, and every pick matters. Whether you're a seasoned drafter or trying the format for the very first time, Draft Night is one of the most exciting and replayable ways to enjoy Magic.

With only 4 seats available per Draft Night pod, you'll enjoy a relaxed, small-group experience with plenty of opportunities to learn, ask questions, and improve your skills.

What Is Booster Draft?

Each player receives three Play Boosters.

Together, you'll open packs, select one card at a time, and pass the remaining cards around the table. Once the draft is complete, you'll build a 40-card deck from the cards you selected and battle through three rounds of friendly competition.

Best of all—you keep every card you draft.

If you've never drafted before, don't worry. We'll explain everything before the draft begins and help you build your deck.

Event Schedule

6:00 PM – Check-In

Meet your fellow players and get settled.

6:10 PM – Draft Orientation

We'll explain how Booster Draft works and answer any questions before the first pack is opened.

6:20 PM – Booster Draft

Draft your cards one pick at a time.

7:00 PM – Deck Building

Build your 40-card deck with help from our staff if you'd like it.

7:30 PM – Three Rounds of Play

Compete in a fun Swiss tournament where everyone plays all three rounds.

Approximately 10:00 PM – Prize Awards

Celebrate the evening and see who takes home the Collector Booster.

Draft is one of the most rewarding ways to play Magic because every player begins with the same number of packs and builds a deck on the spot. There are no expensive decks to bring and no prior preparation required—just your creativity and a willingness to explore.
